  18. Version 1.0    o The first working and useful version of AmigaWorld.
  19. (01-jan-1993)       Published as a freeware version with some limitations
  20.   [Fish #804]       on AmigaLibDisk #804.

  22. Version 1.01   o Added manual selection/deselection of countries (with the
  23. (24-mar-1993)       right mouse button)
  24.    [internal]  o Most menu selections are restored after changing font, screen

  28. Version 1.02   o Invented code numbers for the countries. See the chapter

  37. (07-apr-1993)  o AmigaWorld can now also express itself in Dutch. The Dutch
  38.   [Fish #851]       data files were created by Ruud Hoekzema of Driebergen

  40.                o The numbers that appear in the country window are now
  41.                     displayed as groups of three figures. That makes them
  42.                     more readable.
  43.                o Fixed a bug that caused the program to terminate when you
  44.                     changed from a language with a long name to a language
  45.                     with a short name.
  46.                     (e.g. "Nederlands" (10 chars) -> "Deutsch" (7 chars))
  47.                o Removed the menu short cuts. They seemed quite useless to me
  48.                     in the end.

  50. Version 1.11   o Fixed a bug that caused the program to quit if you tried to
  51. (13-arp-1993)       use a font with a name longer than 10 chars.
  52.                o Fixed a bug that made topaz font look rather strange if you
  53.                     had already used another font before.
  54.                o If there are open country windows when you change language,
  55.                     font, or screen mode, the country windows are adapted to
  56.                     your new selections.
  57.                o You can close info and config windows via the keyboard now:
  58.                     Press return to confirm changes or any other key to undo
  59.                     and exit.
  60.                o The width of the menus in the screen title bar is adapted to
  61.                     the length of the texts they contain, making the Swedish
  62.                     version look better.

  64. Version 2.0    o The flags of all independent countries and some dependencies
  65. (13-jun-1993)       are displayed together with the other data.
  66.                o The religions which are most common in a country are listed.
  67.                o AmigaWorld tells you about membership in important inter-
  68.                     national organisations (independent countries only).
  69.                o You can also get a short description and all members of these
  70.                     organisations by selecting the menu item "Search for" /
  71.                     "Organisation".
  72.                o The data about languages has become more precise.
  73.                o AmigaWorld first calculates the size of a country window and
  74.                     THEN opens it. No more giant windows that are shrinked
  75.                     later on!
  76.                o If the data about a country is already displayed, you cannot
  77.                     open its window again.
  78.                o Minor optical improvements, e.g. in the window that pops up
  79.                     when an error occurs in the country data.
  80.                o The freeware and the full functional version use the same
  81.                     output file now. The few different output texts are held
  82.                     internaly.
  83.                o Every text in 'awo.data' had a maximum length of 80 chars in
  84.                     older versions. Now those texts that are displayed in the
  85.                     country window can be 120 chars long, the other ones (for
  86.                     the search funtcion) only 30 chars long. That's why some
  87.                     data became more precise, without eating up more memory.
  88.                o A new country is born: Welcome, Eritrea!

  91. Known bugs
  92. ==========

  94. Since I've implemented flag display, AmigaWorld eats up 80 Bytes of memory
  95. every time you open a country window. This memory is not deallocated later
  96. on. I don't have any idea why this happens because I did not program the
  97. IFF routines myself.

  100. Plans for the future

  109.  o A ten line history for each county. This is actually not my idea but Bo
  110.     Arnholm's who has even volunteered and already started to write these
